Boil Water Advisory Lifted for PA Water Customers in Luzerne County

 (November 28, 2017) Pennsylvania American Water customers in Sugar Notch, Warrior Run, and the Askam and Preston sections of Hanover Township no longer have to boil their water before use. Acceptable test results were obtained from samples collected on November 26 and 27, and the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection has authorized lifting of the precautionary advisory.

This notice applies to customers in the following areas:

Sugar Notch

Warrior Run

Askam section, Hanover Township

Preston section, Hanover Township

The boil advisory was issued November 24 due to low storage tank levels caused by a broken water main on a water main along Main Street in Hanover Township.  Pennsylvania American Water thanks its customers for their patience and cooperation during this event.
