December 19, 2017 - 5:23 am

At the council meeting last night in Plymouth, a reversal brought about by public concerns. Council now says they will not close the Goodwill Hose Company Number 2 and no paid fire truck drivers will be laid off or have hours reduced. The plan also still calls for hiring more police officers to increase patrols by 25 percent. However in order to make this plan work council says a 17.9percent property tax increase would be necessary. Council will meet at noon on Thursday and vote on the proposal change.
