Mayor in the City of Scranton:  Paige Cognetti (I)

Lackawanna County Commissioner  (I) Jerry Notarianni (D)  Debi Domenick  (D)   Chris Chermak (R)

Scranton School District officials  asked voters to consider going from the business privilege mercantile tax to a payroll tax. The vote was yes. That will now allow the school district to consider it but the vote there will be no changes right away. It would allow businesses to be taxed quarterly on payrolls instead of annually.

Hazleton Mayor Jeff  Cusat (R) incumbent will serve another term after defeating Bob Yevak (D)

Hazleton City Council filling two vacant seats will be Lauren Sacco (R) and Jack Mundie.(D)

There will be a new Mayor in Wilkes Barre. George Brown won an uncontested race.

Wilkes Barre Council: (I) Tony Brooks (R) defeated Mark Shaffer (D) District B

Luzerne County judges retained:  Thomas Burke Jr., William Amesbury and Tina Polachek Gartley. Burke and Amesbury are 72. Mandatory retirement is 75.

Stefanie Salavanits will serve a third term as Luzerne County's District Attorney running unopposed.
