A group of 15 students in the Lackawanna Trail Elementary Center are now under self isolation for two weeks after their teacher tested positive for coronavirus on Sunday. Those students will now be receiving instruction virtually at home.  The district fully opened for classes last Thursday and will be open for classes today. District officials had the school in Factoryville cleaned yesterday and will continue to monitor the situation.

In the Dallas School District in Luzerne County there will be no inperson classes today. That announcement came last night from the District Superintendent who said the district is currently working on contract tracing of a member of the district who tested positive for COVID 19 last week. They are hoping to resume hybrid classes tomorrow. The person who tested positive has not been on campus since September 8.
