Tioga County Standoff Ended Early This Morning

The 14 hour standoff that began in Tioga County yesterday and sent one PA State Police officer for treatment of a gunshot wound ended early this morning. PA State Police say it began when the individual officers went to conduct a welfare check on at a home in Nelson Township fired on officers. The man then barricaded himself in the residence firing at officers several times while officers attempted to talk him into coming out. The PSP Special Emergency Response Team returned fire early this morning and the individual was killed. The investigation into the incident is on going.
