State Police are investigating the theft of at least $3-thousand dollars stored in two children’s piggy banks that were stolen sometime within the last few months from a home in Wayne County.

Investigators says that the money was stolen sometime between July and October from a home on Moore Road in lake Ariel.

State police believe that the two banks had the money stored in one-hundred dollar bill denominations. The money was intended for the future savings accounts for the children.

State Police say they are following up several leads in that theft investigation in Wayne County.
