The Scranton School Board will meet tonight and are expected to consider furloughs of paraprofessionals and others in the district. This is something they tabled two weeks ago. Those 223 workers who would be effected are concerned about the action causing them to lose their health insurance during a pandemic. District officials say the move is considered because students are receiving virtual learning at least through mid November and if that changes they would be able to be called back. The meeting tonight is at 7pm and will be on the districts You Tube page.
