JEANNETTE, Pa. (AP) — Authorities say a man walking along train tracks was struck and killed by a train in Pennsylvania.

The Westmoreland County coroner's office says 21-year-old Reid J. Gadagno, of Manor Borough, was hit by a Norfolk Southern train just before 2 a.m. Saturday in Jeannette. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities say the conductor and engineer used the train's brakes and horn to try and warn Gadagno, but the train hit him.
