A police spokeswoman says a man entered the 7-Eleven in the Bustleton section of the city at 10 a.m. Sunday armed with a handgun.

She says the 49-year-old victim was shot twice in the chest by the robber, who fled with a tray from the cash register. There was no immediate word on the victim's condition.

Officials described him as 20 to 30 years old, 5-foot-7 with a goatee, and wearing a hooded sweat shirt, black shorts with red stripes, white socks and sneakers as well as a white baseball cap.
